Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance (Bupa Arabia) confirmed the cancellation of a contract with Saudi Ministry of Health, while noting that the move will lead to suspension of insurance coverage services for the entities affiliated or owned by the ministry.
The insurance coverage services provided to other corporate clients and their families will continue as usual, in line with the contracts signed, the insurer said in a statement.
“Cancelling the contract inked with the Saudi Ministry of Health will not likely weigh on the existing network,” the statement said.
The Ministry of Health had cancelled a contract sealed with Bupa and The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya), data compiled by Argaam showed.
