A Saudi security officer and a Bangladeshi national were killed in an attack on Sunday, after three suspected terrorists opened fire on a security checkpoint in the Al-Qassim region, the Kingdom’s interior ministry said in a statement.
Security forces returned fire and killed two of the suspected gunmen and wounded the third, who was later transported to a hospital, the statement said.
“First-Sergeant Sulaiman Abdulaziz Al-Abdalatif, and a Bangladeshi national resident in the Kingdom, were martyred,” the ministry said.
Authorities are investigating the crime, which is still subject to a security follow-up.
