Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Co. (GO) could not reveal its annual financial statement for the period ending on March 31, 2018 on time, as its uncertain it could resume business after the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) rejected the firm’s request to get the unified telecom license.
The company also needs more time to re-study its strategic options concerning potential partnerships or mergers, which would determine its continuity and future, it said in a statement to Tadawul on Saturday.
GO expects to reveal its financial statements right after finishing these studies, the statement added.
In May, the Saudi telecom regulator rejected GO’s request to get the unified telecom license, which allows operators to offer integrated telecom services including landline, Argaam previously reported.
