Digital marketplace Noon signed a new partnership with eBay to offer regional customers the option to buy products from the US and other parts of the world, Noon said in a statement Tuesday.
Under the agreement, Noon will fulfil all eBay orders made on its platform and deliver them directly to the customers.
“Noon is connecting the region with the global e-commerce market through our partnership with eBay. With this, we are offering our customers access to products that are not otherwise readily available in the region,” said Mohamed Alabbar, Noon founder.
Noon powered by eBay service will be available in the UAE and Saudi Arabia starting in the second half of 2018 through Noon’s application, as well as via mobile and desktop.
The company said that products shipped from anywhere around the world could be easily returned to Noon with a full refund, as per terms and conditions.
“E-commerce continuously evolves, and this partnership guarantees noon stays on top of the trends and consumer preferences,” Alabbar added.
E-commerce sales are expected to grow more than double between 2017 and 2020 to reach $20 billion, amid the high usage of internet and mobile devices applications in the gulf countries, according to the “Middle East B2C E-Commerce Market 2018”.
The Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), the Kingdom’s sovereign wealth fund, has invested $500 milllion in Noon.com.
