STC appoints Nasser bin Sulaiman Al Nasser as CEO

Saudi Telecommunication Company (STC) has appointed Nasser bin Sulaiman Al Nasser the new chief executive officer (CEO) effective June 7, the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Thursday.

 

Al Nasser has extensive experience in the telecommunications sector. Earlier this year, he was appointed STC’s chief operating officer. In 2015, he was named senior VP for technology and operations.

 

In 1996, he played a role in the establishment of the mobile network and its expansions inside the Kingdom. He then moved to CITC, the sector’s regulator.

 

He also previously worked for Mobily as head of the network and information technology sector, the statement added.
