King Salman on Saturday issued a royal decree to remove the minister of labor Ali bin Nasser al-Ghafis from his position, according to state news.
Billionaire businessman Ahmed bin Suleiman al-Rajhi replaced Al-Ghafis as minister of labor and social development.
Al-Rajhi is a well-seasoned Islamic banker, and one of Saudi Arabia's wealthiest businessman.
The ministry reshuffle comes as the Kingdom aims to create more job opportunities for young Saudis and narrow a 12 percent unemployment rate by 2022.
