HSBC has more than 20 investment banking deals in the pipeline in Saudi Arabia, Reuters has reported, citing Faris AlGhannam, head of investment banking advisory at HSBC Saudi Arabia.
The deals will be executed and delivered in 2018-2019, he added.
“At HSBC by ourselves we have more than 20 deals in the pipeline and others are equally having a good share, I think 2018-19 will be actual delivery. We and others will see a lot of M&A,” AlGhannam said at the Euromoney 2018 conference in Riyadh.
On Wednesday, a senior HSBC executive said the bank has been mandated by the Kingdom to advise on several privatization projects.
More details about the projects will be revealed soon, said Samir Assaf, HSBC’s chief executive of global banking and markets.
