Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co. received a certificate of merit from The Guinness World Records as the world’s largest modern olive plantation, the official news agency SPA reported on Wednesday.
The company owns a total area of 7,730 hectares planted with 5 million olive trees, Abdulaziz Al-Hussein, managing director, said.
The company owns the largest olive plant in the Middle East, and will work over the next two years to establish a plant to produce pickled olives, and other body care products.
Al-Jouf’s produces 15,000 tons of olive oil, he added.
