PKN Orlen, Poland's biggest oil refiner, will increase its monthly oil purchases from Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil producer, by 100,000 tons of Arabian Extra Light to 300,000 tons, it said in a statement.
The new contract will run from May 1 until Dec. 31, 2018, with the option of extension for subsequent years.
Following the deal, over 20 percent of the oil refined in PKN's refineries will come from Saudi Arabia.
The refiner plans to use the raw material for processing in refineries in Poland, the Czech Republic and Lithuania, the statement added.
