Here's a look at average monthly salaries for Saudis in 2017

The average monthly salary for Saudi citizens amounted to SAR 7,372 in 2017, compared to SAR 2,731 for expatriates, data issued by the General Authority for Statistics showed.

 

The total number of Saudis employed in large as well as micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) stood at 1.72 million in the same period, compared to a total of 5.26 million expatriates.

 

As many as 534,500 Saudi nationals worked at large businesses with an average monthly income of SAR 9,897, compared to 27 percent of total foreign workers with an average monthly income of SAR 3,665.

 

Almost 35 percent of expats were employed in micro enterprises, earning an average monthly salary of SAR 1,985.
