Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index (Tadawul) closed on a negative note in February, declining 3.02 percent, or 231.32 points, at 7,418.20 compared to the 7,650.12 level seen last month.
The index hit its highest level at 7,656.07 points on Feb.1, it said in a statement on Thursday.
Total equity market capitalization reached SAR 1.7 trillion ($465.54 billion), registering a decline of 2.57 percent compared to January.
The total value of shares traded fell 17.34 percent month-on-month to SAR 67.75 billion ($ 18.07 billion), while the total number of transactions executed stood at 1.93 million, a decline of 11.98 percent from the previous month.
