Saudi Arabia’s King Salman on Monday issued a series of royal decrees, under which the King made a major reshuffle of the defense ministry and military staff.
The King appointed Tamader bin Youssef Al-Rammah as deputy minister of labor and social development -- the first time a top ministerial role is occupied by a woman in Saudi Arabia.
The King approved the ministry’s vision for its development program, along with new operational patterns, organizational structure, governance, and human resources requirements.
Military and Defense Reshuffle
1) Fayyad Al-Ruweili has been named the new military Chief of Staff, in place of General Abdulrahman Al-Bunyan, who was referred to retirement
2) Mutlaq Al-Azaimie - Deputy Chief of Staff
3) Fahd Al-Mutair - Commander of Land Forces, replacing Fahd Bin Turki
4) Turki Bin Bandar - Commander of the Airforce
5) Khalid bin Hussein Biyari - Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs
6) Commander of the Air defense Forces Mohammed Sahim has been removed from his post
Government Reshuffle
7) Tamadur bin Youssef Al Ramah has been named as Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development
8) Ahmed bin Mohammed Alsalim was removed from his post as Deputy Minister of Interior
9) Faisal Al-Ibrahim - Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning
10) Khalid Al-Shunaify - Assistant of the Minister of Economy and Planning
11) Abdul Aziz Al-Zoum - Govenor of General Authority for Competition
12) Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz – Appointed as Governor of Al-Jouf after Prince Fahd bin Badr bin Abdulaziz was removed from his post upon his request
13) Prince Turki bin Talal, the brother of billionaire Prince Al Waleed bin Talal, has been named Deputy Governor of the Asir Region as the rank of minister
14) Prince Fahd bin Badr bin Abdulaziz - Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the rank of minister
15) Prince Faisal bin Turki bin Abdulaziz - Consultant at the Royal Court in the rank of minister
16) Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Miqren bin Abdulaziz - Deputy Governor of Hail Region in the rank of minister
17) Prince Sultan bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz - consultant at the Royal Court
18) Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah Almshari - Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs
