Saudi Arabia's air force on Monday intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile fired by Houthi militias from Yemeni territory towards the city of Khamis Mushait in the Asir province, according to a statement on the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The missile, launched at 7:23 am today, was aimed at civilian and populated areas, Colonel Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson of the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, was quoted as saying.
“Launching ballistic missiles toward densely populated cities and villages is contrary to international humanitarian law,” Al-Maliki said.
