Saudi Arabia’s labor ministry will launch the 13th phase of the wage protection program on Feb. 1, 2018, ministry spokesman Khaled Aba Al Khail said.
The new scheme will apply to companies that employ between 30 and 39 workers.
The number of companies covered in this phase is estimated at 14,000, with a total workforce of 477,400, Al Khail added.
The wage protection program, which was first introduced in August 2013, applies to private sector firms. It aims to improve transparency around wages across the Kingdom.
