Saudi Arabia’s authorities have specified a list of countries whose citizens will be granted tourist visas, to be launched online within the next few weeks, Sabq newspaper reported.
Saudi tourist visas will be issued to citizens of the 25 Schengen states, North and South American countries, as well as Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Australia, South Korea and South Africa.
To obtain the visa, tourists have to apply at registered travel agencies, which will handle visa applications on their behalf.
Saudi Arabia is looking to develop its tourism industry as part of efforts to develop the Kingdom’s non-oil sectors, in line with the Vision 2030 economic diversification plan.
