The preliminary agreement, which includes the related terms, was signed on the sidelines of the Fourth Saudi Aviation Forum in Riyadh by Saudi Aramco’s vice-president for industrial services, Abdulhakim A. Al-Gouhi, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
The academy targets companies, government agencies and the private sector to Saudize aviation jobs in the Kingdom.
Under the feasibility study conducted for the project, the new academy will also help the local market provide 3,000 jobs in the aviation sector by 2030, with a training capacity of 1,450 pilots and maintenance technicians, Al-Gouhi said.
