Average salary for Saudis rises in Q3

The average monthly salaries of Saudi employees reached SAR 10,012 in the third quarter of 2017, while non-Saudis got an average of SAR 3,727, figures issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.

 

Average salaries of Saudi nationals rose 1 percent quarter-on-quarter from SAR 9,911 in Q2, while foreigners’ salaries dropped 3 percent from SAR 3,876 in Q2.

 

Average income for Saudi males stood at SAR 10,133 during the quarter, while that of Saudi female employees hit SAR 9,440.

 

The average pay for all employees across the Kingdom reached SAR 6,119 in the same period.

 

Sector-wise, the average monthly income for Saudis working in the public sector came in at SAR 10,784. Expats working in the public sector received an average monthly pay of SAR 10,053.

 

Saudis earned monthly salaries of SAR 7,584 on average in the private sector, compared to SAR 3,889 for expats.

 

Age-wise, the highest-paid Saudis were in the 50-54 years age bracket, earning SAR 13,464 per month. Foreign workers aged between 60-64 years earned the highest, with an average salary of SAR 5,980.
