News on social media about the ticket prices of Saudi Arabia’s Haramain high-speed rail is incorrect, Al Madina newspaper reported, citing Rumaih Al Rumaih, chief executive of the Saudi Railway Co. (SAR).
The ticket prices have not been set yet, Al Rumaih added.
The Haramain high-speed rail project started a trial run yesterday, running from Madinah to Makkah at a speed exceeding 300 kilometers per hour.
The 450-km long railway will link the Kingdom’s holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, passing through Jeddah and Rabigh, and can carry 9,000 passengers per hour.
