National Water Company (NWC) is currently undertaking 40 water projects in Al Jouf region at a total value of SAR 1.28 billion, in line with increasing demand in the water services segment, said CEO Mohammed Al Moqli.
A total of SAR 440 million has been allocated for groundwater and sanitation projects, while SAR 845 million has been set aside for sewage and water projects, Moqli said, quoted by the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Operations and maintenance work is also ongoing on 25 projects at a total value of SAR 278 million.
During his visit to Al Jouf region, Moqli inspected the sewage treatment plant in Sakaka, which will be transferred to the Waad Al-Shamal project after being shown to comply with international specifications.
