Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) has awarded a new E&C Offshore contract to Saipem, a leading drilling services provider, for engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) activities in Saudi Arabia.
The deal comes under a long-term agreement between both companies renewed in 2015 until 2021, Saipem said in a statement, without mentioning the total value of the contract.
The contract’s main scope of work will include the engineering, procurement and construction works of a new 42 offshore pipeline in addition upgrade of the Manifa water injection system.
Saipem was also assigned additional works regarding previously awarded projects in the Offshore E&C in West Africa. Total value of these contracts, including the latest contract awarded by Aramco, is $400 million.
