Roads in Jeddah were flooded on Tuesday as heavy rains swept through the city, leaving motorists stranded and forcing schools and universities to cancel classes.
Rains are expected to continue in Jeddah and Makkah until Thursday, according to the Kingdom’s General Authority of Meteorology and Environment Protection.
Residents are sharing images and videos on social media of vehicles struggling to drive through submerged streets, and homes and offices flooded due to the heavy rains.
