The Saudi Railway Co.’s (SAR) North-South Railway will start transporting passengers from Hail station on Sunday, Nov. 26.
Inauguration of the new station marks the second phase of the passenger service, which was launched on Feb. 26 between Riyadh and Al Qassim with an intermediate stop at Majmaah.
Passengers can book train tickets online to and from the Hail, starting Nov. 12. The service will be offered three days a week.
Tickets are priced at SAR 120 from Riyadh to Hail, and at SAR 50 from Qassim to Hail, SAR said.
Saudi Arabia’s railway line running over 2,750 kilometers between Riyadh and Al-Qurayyat will be fully operational in 2018, upon completion of the third and fourth phases.
SAR is owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF).
