State-run Saudi Aramco is in talks with France’s Total to boost production capacity of their Saudi joint venture refinery in Jubail by over 10 percent, Total CEO Patrick Pouyanne told Reuters on Wednesday.
The Saudi Arabia Total Refining and Petrochemical (SATORP) complex can raise its capacity to 440,000 barrels per day through greater efficiency, Pouyanne said.
"We are working with Saudi Aramco, discussing gas allocation," he added, speaking at a conference in London.
The refinery, which was launched in 2014, is 62.5 percent-owned by Saudi Aramco.
