Savola names new CEO for Panda Retail

Savola Group’s board of directors has named Bander Hamooh as chief executive officer (CEO) for Panda Retail Co., effective Oct. 15, 2017.

 

The decision was based on a recommendation from the board’s remunerations and recommendations committee, Savola said in a statement to Tadawul.

 

Hamooh has over 25 years of experience in the retail, healthcare, and FMCG industries.

 

He has served as General Supervisor of Public Affairs at the Ministry of Health, as well as CEO of Al Nahdi Medical Company.

 

Savola announced the resignation of Panda Retail CEO Muwaffaq Jamal last November. The company appointed Savola Group CEO Rayan Fayez as acting chief executive in his place.

 

Panda, one of the largest retailers in the Middle East, forms the retail division of the Savola Group.
