Fuel prices in the United Arab Emirates are set to rise by at least 5 percent in October, according to the Ministry of Energy.
Starting Oct. 1, Super 98 will cost AED 2.12 per liter (up 5 percent from AED 2.01 in September), Special 95 will cost AED 2.01 (up 6 percent from AED 1.9) and E Plus will cost AED 1.94 (up 6 percent from AED 1.83).
Diesel price has been increased to AED 2.1 per liter in October from AED 2 the previous month.
Fuel prices in the UAE are set every month by a committee led by the ministry of energy, and are linked to global crude prices.
