Prince of Najran orders authorities to fine distressed firms for project delays

Governor of the Najran region Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed has directed local authorities to fine distressed contractors for project delays and suspend them from bidding for new contracts.

He also said he was dissatisfied that some authorities have provided facilities for some of the financially troubled firms, state-owned Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.

“Any facilities will give troubled firms more time to delay projects and hinder development,” Prince Jalawi added.
