Construction work at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) is nearly complete, according to a video posted by the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
The footage, from August 2017, showed that construction at the terminals complex is almost finished, as well as the parking lots, control tower, and other facilities.
The airport is scheduled to be up and running by the beginning of Ramadan 2018.
In 2010, Saudi-based Bin Laden Group won a contract worth SAR 27.11 billion to revamp King Abdulaziz International Airport, aiming to raise its capacity to 30 million passengers per year.
