What you need to know as UAE markets open on September 20

Here are some things you need to know as markets open today in the United Arab Emirates.

 

1) DXB Entertainments said it has entered into an agreement with Meraas Holding LLC and Meraas Leisure & Entertainments LLC for an AED 245 million subordinated shareholder loan.

 

2) Dubai-listed Gulfa Mineral Water & Processing Industries Co.’s board on Sep. 19 discussed the expected financial results for Q3 2017, along with performance indicators for the fourth quarter.

 

3) Abu Dhabi Financial Group (ADFG) might issue $100 million in debt through a privately placed bond, Reuters reported.

 

4) Oil edged higher on Wednesday, with Brent crude last up 0.2 percent at $55.33/bbl while WTI crude rose 0.3 percent to $49.76/bbl.

 

5) Stock markets in Asia were mixed towards closing hours. Japan’s Nikkei 225 Index was last down 0.1 percent, while China’s CSI 300 Index rose 0.4 percent and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index added 0.2 percent.
