The Saudi ministry of housing said Sakani I program will be completed by next December and a new housing program (Sakani II) will be launched in 2018, Makkah newspaper reported, citing Talal bin Badr Al-Saud, general supervisor for housing support at the ministry.
Sakani I included 208,000 housing products, Al Saud said, adding that the new program will include a bigger number of residential products.
Also, the ministry will next year launch a new subsidized-loan program.
In August, the ministry launched the seventh phase of its Sakani housing program that included allocation of 28,051 housing products, Argaam reported.
The Sakani program is part of the ministry’s efforts to distribute homes and financial assistance to 280,000 families by year-end.
