Kuwait denies reports on tanker sinking off Oman

Kuwait Oil Tanker Co. (KOTC) has denied reports that one of its tankers sank close to the Omani coast.

 

In a statement to KUNA on Sunday, the company said all of its tankers were sailing safely and added that reports on social media about the sinking of a Kuwaiti tanker off the coast of Oman were totally incorrect.

 

Meanwhile, the Oman News Agency said all 20 sailors on board a Tanzanian-flagged cargo ship that sank off the coast of Lakabi, east of Salalah, were rescued on Sunday.
