Saudi Ground Services Co.’s (SGS) board of directors has appointed Omar Najjar as chief executive starting from Sep. 25, 2017, the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Sunday.
The decision came after SGS CEO Qaid Al-Otaibi resigned on Thursday, citing personal reasons.
Al-Otaibi will continue to serve as a consultant to the board, the statement said.
Najjar, who has about 20 years of experience in different sectors, has held many key positions in giant Saudi firms. The new CEO most recently served as head of the manufacturing segment at National Industrialization Co. (Tasnee).
