Dubai-listed Arabtec Holding on Monday said its subsidiary, Arabtec Construction, has been awarded an AED 363 million ($99 million) contract for the construction of the Dubai South Mall.
The Emaar Properties and Dubai World Trade Centre joint venture awarded the contract, Arabtec said in a bourse statement.
The project work is expected to start this month.
The Dubai South Mall, with a built-up area of about 83,000 square meters, will be located in Dubai South – which encompasses the Al Maktoum International Airport, the Expo 2020 site and a major logistics district.
“Our recent project wins demonstrate the trust we are developing with our clients to deliver projects,” group CEO Hamish Tyrwhitt said in a statement.
“We continue to adopt a selective risk management approach in order to capture jobs within our core competencies and strategic focus,” he added.
