Dammam Airports Co. (DACO) on Monday contracted a foreign firm to develop a master plan for King Fahd International Airport (KFIA), state-owned Saudi Press Agency reported, citing DACO’s chief executive Turki Al-Jawini.
No details were provided about the contract value.
The master plan will be developed to meet passenger needs for the next 30 years by analyzing the current situation, future needs and operator detailed plans.
Under the one-year contract, the firm will put KFIA’s long-term strategy into application through developing various programs and fulfilling the infrastructure needs of service providers, Al-Jawini added.
Meanwhile, additional passenger halls, airline offices, parking lots will be also established, Al-Jawini said.
