Almarai, the region’s largest diary company, has been named Saudi Arabia’s healthiest brand, according to a list of brand health rankings by market research firm YouGov.
Firms on the list were scored based on perceived brand quality, value, impressions, satisfaction, reputation, and consumer recommendations.
Saudi fast-food chain Al Baik was ranked second, YouGov said in a statement. The rest of the top ten spots featured tech brands, chocolate brand Galaxy, and Dubai-based carrier Emirates.
According to the list, Saudi Arabia’s top ten healthiest brands are as follows:
1) Almarai
2) Al Baik
3) Apple
4) WhatsApp
5) YouTube
6) Apple iPhone
7) Google
8) Samsung
9) Galaxy
10) Emirates
“Both Almarai and Al Baik have succeeded in standing apart in a market where each has substantial regional and global competition,” said Scott Booth, YouGov’s head of Data Products in MENA.
“That they surpass dominant global brands in overall brand health emphasizes their power in the Kingdom,” he added.
YouGov also released a list of the brands with the most improved brand health in Saudi Arabia over the past year.
Telecom brands have recorded the biggest improvement in the Kingdom, with Zain Saudi and telecom equipment provider Huawei taking the top two spots.
Blue chip lender Al Rajhi Bank, the world’s largest Islamic Bank Al Rajhi Bank, was ranked third.
