Emaar EC inks deal with SEC for providing power to KAEC

Emaar The Economic City Co. (Emaar EC) and Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC) have signed an agreement on Thursday to implement second phase of providing electricity connectivity to King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC).

 

Under the agreement, Emaar EC will build main lines with a capacity of 110 KV and a 110 /13.8 KV transmission station with an additional capacity of 134 MVA, the company said in a statement on Tadawul.

 

The total cost of the deal will be determined soon after the project to opened to tender, Emaar EC added.

 

On completion of the second stage, the available capacity at KAEC will rise to 268 MVA. The first stage, which included expanding main transmission station, building main lines and first transmission station at the industrial valley, was completed at a total cost of SAR 300 million.
