Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) signed on July 18 a long-term agreement with Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Co. (SASREF) to supply its subsidiary the International Methanol Co. (IMC) with carbon dioxide, Sipchem said in a statement.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Carbon dioxide is an added feedstock, which is part of IMC’s Efficiency Enhancement Project, the statement said.
The financial impact of the deal is expected to show on Q1 2019 results, around the time that IMC will begin to benefit from the carbon dioxide supply.
