Saudi Arabia’s SEDCO Holding Group won the Best Corporate Social Responsibility Integrated Business Award for its Riyali financial literacy program in Q2 2017, at the Social Impact and Social Responsibility Forum held in Dubai, the company said in a statement on Monday.
SEDCO Holding bagged the award for its efforts to constantly develop “Riyali” program, which is aimed at building financial awareness among the Saudi population.
During the forum, Amr Banaja, vice president of marketing and corporate responsibility at SEDCO Holding, noted the importance of investing in social responsibility and sustainability programs.
“The concept of sustainability has become a more inclusive and an inseparable part of a company’s strategies. As times evolve, companies cannot develop programs aimed at community service without looking at the process of manufacturing its products and providing its services in effect on its employees, community and the environment,” he said.
