Saudi Arabia bans Egyptian strawberry imports

Saudi Arabia has banned strawberry imports from Egypt due to their high level of pesticides residue, the Kingdom’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture said on its Twitter account on Sunday.

 

The ministry said it examines all fruit and vegetable imports through its check-points on the borders before they enter the Kingdom to ensure safety.
