Saudi Arabia is expected to launch several education as well as healthcare development projects on a public–private partnership (PPP) basis in fourth quarter 2017, said Osama Al-Afaleq, chairman of the Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA).
The move comes in line with Saudi Arabia’s planned privatization of some of the country’s economic activities.
The private sector has recently showed signs of slowdown, due to low oil prices and state spending cuts in projects which constitute around 70 percent of the existing projects in the Kingdom.
