Italy-based Saipem has won a new contract from Saudi Aramco for Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation (EPCI) activities and Trunklines & Installation (T&I) works in Saudi Arabia, under a Long-Term agreement in force, which was renewed in 2015 until 2021.
Under the deal, Saipem will provide the design, engineering, procurement, construction and installation of 19 jackets for the development of fields in Marjan, Zuluf, Berri, Hasbah, and Safaniya, which are among the most important offshore fields in the region of the Arabian Gulf.
Saipem has also negotiated the extension in Angola of the deployment of vessel FPSO Gimboa, inclusive of management and maintenance services, personnel, material and consumable supplies for three years, plus one optional year.
The oil and gas industry contractor has also defined change orders for projects in West Africa and in the Caspian Sea.
These new acquisitions are valued at $500 million, Saipem said in a statement.
