Saudi Arabia ranked 19th on Wealth-X list in 2016

Saudi Arabia was ranked 19th in Wealth-X report for 2016 on the world’s ultra-high net worth (UHNW) population, or those with $30m or more in net worth.

 

The Kingdom topped the list of Arab countries with UHNW, with 2,640 extremely wealthy Saudis who have the total fortune of $427 billion as of 2016, the report said.

 

UAE was ranked 28th world-wide and the second Arab country with 1,120 wealthy people who own a combined wealth of $272 billion.

 

Globally, the United States was ranked first with 73,100 extremely wealthy Americans with the total fortune of $8.7 trillion, representing third of the total world’s wealth.

 

Last year the number of wealthy people rose 3.5 percent to 226,450 individuals while their total wealth rose 1.5 percent to $27 trillion.
