The Saudi labor ministry has fined Saudi Ground Services Co. (SGS) a SAR 2 million for employing expats in nationals-only positions, Makkah newspaper reported, citing ministry spokesperson Khaled Abal Khail.
The ministry found 90 labor law violations at SGS, he said, adding that all the company’s locations across the Kingdom will be monitored to ensure it adheres to the laws.
SGS has reportedly hired 60 workers from the Philippines with salaries up to SAR 6,000 on two-year contracts.
