Saudi Arabia’s labor ministry will launch the 11th phase of the wage protection program on Aug. 1, 2017, it said in a statement.
The latest measures will apply to companies which employ 60-79 workers.
The wage protection system aims to protect the rights of workers across industries and reduce the number of disputes between employers and staff, said Abdullah Abuthnain, the ministry’s undersecretary.
The program, which was first introduced in August 2013, applies to private sector firms and also aims to improve transparency around wages in the Kingdom.
