A Virgin Atlantic flight traveling from Dubai to Heathrow Airport in the UK was evacuated on Tuesday for security reasons, the airline said in a media statement.
“Our customers traveling on the VS401 from Dubai to London Heathrow have temporarily disembarked the aircraft for additional security checks,” Virgin Atlantic said.
“This is purely as a precautionary measure as the safety of our customers and crew is our number one priority,” the statement added.
Dubai Airports also confirmed on Twitter that the plane was disembarked for security checks.
