23/05/2017 Argaam

The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) on Tuesday approved amending the securities tick sizes (price change units).

The new tick size scale will come into effect staring from Sunday, June 4, Tadawul said in a statement.

Under these amendments, values of current tick sizes would be reduced and more price bands will be added.

The securities that trade at less than SAR 10 would have tick size SAR 0.01, compared to SAR 0.05 earlier. The tick size of securities traded between SAR 10 and SAR 24.98 will be raised to SAR 0.02.

Tick size SAR 0.05 would be allocated for securities that trade between SAR 25 and SAR 49.95, tick size SAR 0.10 for securities traded between SAR 50 and SAR 99.90, and tick size SAR 0.20 for securities traded above SAR 100.

The new scales will be applied to all securities listed on Tadawul, Nomu Parallel Market, Real Estate Investment Traded Funds (REITs), exchange traded funds (ETFs) and tradable rights.c
