Saudi Electricity Co. said it has started operations at a number of projects worth SAR 5.5 billion in the Kingdom’s northern area, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The projects included building six power transmission stations, five overhead power lines to transmit power among a number of Northern cities.
The new undertakings also included the longest overhead line (380 KV) in the Kingdom, which extends 790 km between Tabarjal and Tabuk’s stations.
The projects in the Northern region will contribute to boosting the industrial and urban revival in the area, Khaled Alrashed, the chief executive officer of Saudi Electricity Co. for Projects Development, an affiliate of SEC said.
