Prices of 49 out of 81 food products in Saudi Arabia dropped in April when compared to the same month last year, data compiled by Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GAS) showed.
The price of Pakistani mangoes fell the most, declining 22 percent year-on-year (YoY), while Chinese garlic recorded the biggest hike of 25 percent YoY in the same month.
The prices of nine non-food commodities were up, with Raid insecticide on top rising by 7 percent YoY.
Five other products saw declines, led by Pampers diapers with 2 percent YoY.
Elsewhere, prices of 28 construction materials slid in April, while nine others recorded hikes.
Sand and gravel mixture posted the biggest fall of 20 percent YoY, while Chinese steel cables were the top riser, gaining 7 percent YoY.
