National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) has appointed acting chief financial officer Ali Abdullah al-Harbi as acting chief executive officer (CEO) effective April 25.
The step came after the company’s CEO Ibrahim Al Omar was appointed as governor of Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) by royal decree on Saturday.
Al-Harbi holds a Master’s degree in accounting from University of Colorado and a Bachelor of accounting from King Saud University, the company said in a statement to the Saudi bourse.
Since June 2015, Al-Harbi has served with Bahri in other positions and has over 16 years of experience in the accounting and managerial fields.
