The Saudi energy ministry’s initiatives will create about 130,000 direct jobs by 2020, Alrriyadh newspaper reported on Monday, citing the kingdom’s energy minister Khalid Al-Falih.
The kingdom is also expected to create investment opportunities of up to SAR 320 billion in its private sector by 2020, the minister said, speaking on the sidelines of an energy ministry event.
More investment opportunities are likely, in line with the kingdom’s Vision 2030.
“The door is wide open to participation of foreign investors, as many projects and schemes have been offered to international firms,” Al-Falih said.
