The new King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah is 80 percent complete, Okaz newspaper has reported, citing Tariq Abdul-Jabbar, deputy assistant for domestic airports at the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
The name of the new terminal operator will be announced in April. At least 17 international bidders have already submitted proposals.
Head of GACA Sulaiman Al-Hamdan earlier said that KAIA is due to start operations in 2017.
